European Tour June 2009 |
The Holland American Legion Band is planning a trip to Europe in June 2009 to participate in the 65th Anniversary of D-Day at Normandy, as well as some community performances in Belgium and the Netherlands. |
Included in the tour will be a stop at the Aisne-Marne Cemetery in Belleau, France, to visit the grave of Willard G. Leenhouts, the first Holland soldier killed in WWI, and for whom the Legion Post is named.
Aisne-Marne Cemetery Arrangements for the tour are being made through Gateway Music Festivals and Tours, and local arrangements, including a “tag-along” tour for non band members, are being arranged through Dolphin Travel. |
